- Canon Sue - Of the Marty Stu variety. The boys' mom in real life is usually the writer for most of the episodes. Nat and Alex get the most screen time compared to their friends, who are more like Faceless Masses than anything resembling characters. Also, the apparent fame and success of the characters gets shoved in our faces. Coincidence? I think not.
- Fan Dumb - A lot of the haters are like this. But like it was said earlier, it's not without reason, although, the show's may be getting better by some people's standards.
- Narm - Seeing kids angst about how they can't get the girl of their dreams when they haven't even reached their teens does this. The fact that said girl of their dreams is a few years older doesn't help matters.
- Squick: The title.

- Wangst - Sometimes the two brothers will blow things way out of proportion to its actual importance.
