The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat/YMMV
- Non Sequitur Scene: An entire musical number is built around The Thirties, with Fritz dancing in front of stock footage, romancing a lady cat, and then losing all of his money. For that matter, every story outside of the main frame story could be considered a Non Sequitur Scene.
- Fanon Discontinuity: Some fans prefer to think that there was no sequel.
- Sequelitis: This was not written or directed by Ralph Bakshi, the maker of Fritz the Cat, or Robert Crumb, who created the original comic. The only people involved with the first film who returned for the sequel are producer Steve Krantz and voice actor Skip Hinnant. Even Duke, one of the characters from the first film, is voiced by a different actor.
- What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids?: This was apparently played on Showtime Family once, according to a review on IMDb, despite the fact that it has an R rating.
