Tim Curry/YMMV

Complete Monster: Tim is a fairly nice guy and couldn't be farther from this in real life, but he tends to play a lot of these. A noteworthy example is his role in Criminal Minds two parter "Our Darkest Hour"/"The Longest Night", which was a notably disturbing one. Has been killing for a good 20 years, with potentially thousands of victims. Rapes and tortures the females, and he purposely targets families, so he can make the children watch and leave them completely scarred. When one of the surviving children become a hero cop, he kidnaps his sister, who also survived, rapes her repeatedly, shoots him, kidnaps his daughter, and leaves Agent Morgan humiliated and injured, as the sister dies later in hospital.
- Other monsters he's played include Skullmaster, Pennywise the clown, Hexxus, and Darth Sidious. Hell, he almost did the voice of The Joker in the animated series before Mark Hamill got the role!
Creator Backlash - For years, he was very reluctant to talk about his role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show due to some not-very-good memories about his...um...more rabid fans. Of course, he's more open to talking about it in recent years and even reprised the role of Dr. Frank N Furter briefly for a theater skit.
- He even once told VH-1 that he grew "chubby and plain" in order to escape the fame of the role. Of course, it didn't work...
Crowning Moment of Awesome - He once briefly reprised his role as Frank N. Furter for a short theater skit. Needless to say, the audience went wild during his "antici...(SAY IT!)...pation." line.
- Even better was the fact that he seemed to be doing the whole thing in good humor. Not sure which year the skit was done, but it's probably when Tim was starting to become more comfortable about being in the film.
- Of course, instead of corsets and high heels, Tim was wearing a lab coat and normal clothing. But, he pulled it off quite nicely. Chubby Frank N. Furter + Lab Coat = Sexy.
- Most recently, he made a surprise appearance during a tribute to Rocky Horror for charity. Remember, this is a guy who tried to avoid any association with the film for years.
Draco in Leather Pants - Let's see, Dr. Frank N Furter, Darkness, and Hexxus, and Long John Silver are all villains he's played that have quite the fanbases.
- Which is why it's a very bad idea to cast him as a villain if you're trying to make your heroes stand out. It will be an effort in futility.
- It's an even worse idea if you want your villain to be unsympathetic. Again, see Hexxus.
  - He seems to have broken this trend with Arl Howe. BioWare's writing is just that good.
  - And he completely subverts it in his guest-starring appearance on the Criminal Minds two-parter "Our Darkest Hour"/"The Longest Night", where he plays a murderer and rapist...and gives a very disturbing performance in the episodes. It's about as far as you can get from the charming villains (IE: Dr. Frank N. Furter) as you can get, and it works.
Ear Worm - At least 90% of his songs.
- Tim Schafer chose him as the villain in Brütal Legend to invoke this.
Ensemble Darkhorse: He had one very brief part in The Worst Witch...and managed to be the most memorable part of the movie by a wide margin.
Evil Is Sexy - Oh, he is made of this trope. Nearly every villain he's ever played has a following of...erm...devoted fans. His role as the "Lord Of Darkness" in Legend made the devil...The DEVIL...seem sexy.
- The latter is taken Up to Eleven in Brütal Legend, where he plays Emperor Doviculus, a demon who's basically fathered his own army.
Just Here for Godzilla: Sometimes you'll only watch a bad movie again once you know he's in it. Heck even some good movies.
Magnificent Bastard - The parts he usually plays, such as Premier Cherdenko above. Or Ymper Trymon. Or Skullmaster.
Narm - Mainly in his voicing of the titular character of the Gabriel Knight trilogy (except in the second one, where he is played by actor Dean Erickson).
