These are recommendations made by Tropers for Tokyo Mew Mew fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here.

Kish's Kittie

  • Recommended By Marth Vader
  • Pairings: Primarily Quiche/Ichigo, but other pairings make appearances
  • An amazing (and amazingly versatile) author, she's the rare Fan-Preferred Couple shipper in this fandom who doesn't feel the need to bash Masaya to get her preferred couple together. She usually writes fluffy romance, but has dipped into tragedy, straight comedy, and even AU. Her mechanics, at least in her more recent fics, are great, too.

Tomoyo Kinomoto

  • Recommended By Marth Vader
  • Her best stuff, in my opinion, are her dark AUs (Yes, it's possible there's a trend here), but her poetry also shows the basic understanding of rhythm that so many fan authors lack, and is some of the most readable fan poetry I've ever seen.

sakuuya

  • Recommended By Marth Vader
  • All of her recent stuff is bizarre, dark, and frequently AU, and before that she wrote silly (but poorly-written) badfic parodies. Her stuff is just so weird that it's worth a look, even if the idea of, for instance, a Tokyo Mew Mew Western doesn't interest you.

Cherrie-Sakura

  • Recommended By Marth Vader
  • Pairings: Ryou/Ichigo
  • She's best-known for her epic Mew Academy (see below), but aside from a proven talent for juggling Loads and Loads of Characters, she normally writes R/I fluff. Her heavily-descriptive style can be a turn-off, but it also means she's great at establishing moods and building settings.

General Fics

Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.

Original Flavor

Tomorrow's Solace by Ellana (a.k.a. Ryou Shirogane, Mew Cherry)

  • Recommended by Jisu
  • Pairings: Masaya/Ichigo, Berii/Tasuku, Zakuro/Minto
  • Synopsis: A hobo arrives at the cafe with an eye on the Mew Mews, the government discovers their identity and puts the pressure on Ryou, and the aliens come back to warn the team about an insurgent group that's aiming for something in a South American ruin.
  • Comments: In progress. An extremely rare well-done Official Couple fic—by a Fan-Preferred Couple fan!

Dark Fic

Sacrifices by Dasz (Dark, AU)

  • Pairing(s): Retasu/Pie/Zakuro, Deep Blue/Ichigo/Quiche
  • Synopsis: The Mews in a Star Wars-style space opera, though both The Empire and La Résistance are more morally suspect than that comparison (or, indeed, Tokyo Mew Mew itself) would suggest. Mainly follows Retasu, now a ruthless servant of Deep Blue after some unknown tragedy, as she tries to destroy Pie, an alien rebel with whom she has a history, and Quiche, who has been locked up for years and escapes only to find that Deep Blue has turned Ichigo into a smiling vegetable. Like I said, dark.

Severance by sakuuya (Dark, AU, OC-centric)

  • Synopsis: Five very different girls are chosen to save the world. Which would be all well and good, except that the various rivalries and animosities within the group threaten to tear it apart. And as a new evil, one capable of killing all of Tokyo's vegetation, rises, a fractured group of Mews may not be able to save the world.

Sailor Earth

Mew Academy by Cherrie-Sakura (OC-centric)

  • Recommended by Marth Vader
  • Synopsis: Akane, an ordinary Japanese girl, is enrolled in Mew Academy, a school specifically for Mews, run by the (now-adult) canon characters. The problem? Akane is actually an ordinary Japanese girl, and not a Mew at all. A mix of slice-of-life high school drama and more traditional action/suspense fic.

Stories focused on the romantic relationships between the cast.

Canon Pairings

  • Canon here is defined as Masaya/Ichigo, Zakuro/Minto, Bu-ling/Tart, Ryou/Retasu, Pie/Retasu and Tasuku/Berii, as well as one-sided Quiche/Ichigo (the one side being Quiche).

  • Pairing(s): Masaya/Ichigo and onesided Quiche/Ichigo, respectively.
  • Synopsis: Two oneshots with the same premise: A Tokyo Mew Mew guy reminisces about how Ichigo Momomiya changed his life. The first one is from Masaya's PoV; its companion is from Quiche's.

  • Synopsis: Lettuce visits the alien world years after the war is over. Without any reason to fight, Pai proves to be a bit different than how he had once been perceived. "He's quite fond of you." Pai Lettuce.

  • Synopsis: Quiche gets an Inuyasha-style magic collar that means Ichigo has to follow his every command.

Crack Pairing

  • Should be self-explanatory, even if you happen to think Ryou/Bu-ling is a great idea.
