Basic Trope: A physical object is described as having parts adding up to more than 100%.

  • Straight: "Behold! I, Hugo von Tropenstein, have created something which is 50% man, 50% alien, and 50% robot!"
  • Exaggerated: "Success! My prototype is 50% man, 50% woman, 50% dog, 50% cat, 50% alien, 50% ninja, 50% pirate, 50% zombie, 50% robot, 50% tomato soup...!"
  • Downplayed: "Eureka! I've created a monster that's 50% man, 50% robot, and 1% Applied Phlebotinum!"
  • Justified: "Feast your eyes on my latest experiment! Not only is he 50% man and 50% robot, but he's also 50% Eldritch Abomination! The Eldritch Abomination part is what lets me exceed 100%."
  • Inverted: "Gentlemen, I give you my latest project! 25% man, 25% robot, 25% alien!"
  • Subverted: "Witness my latest marvel of science! 50% man, 50% robot, and... erm, that's it, actually."
  • Double Subverted: "Oh, right, and 50% alien."
  • Parodied: "Yes!! Look upon my great work! 50% man, 50% robot, and 2% milk!"
  • Zig Zagged: "As you can see, some of my creations are this trope, and some of them aren't!"
  • Averted: "Come one and all, and witness the technological marvel! 50% man, and 50% machine!"
  • Enforced: The authors need to establish that Hugo von Tropenstein is a mad scientist.
  • Lampshaded: "Beg your pardon, Mr. Tropenstein, but isn't that too many halves?"
  • Invoked: "With this flesh from an [[Eldritch Abomination][, I'll be able to defy the laws of physics and create a monster whose parts add up to more than 100%! It's brilliant, I tell you!"
  • Exploited: "And once I've made my 'More Than 100% Monster', anyone who looks upon it will Go Mad from the Revelation! No army in the world will be able to stand against it!"
  • Defied: "On second thought, that's a terrible idea. A 'More Than 100% Monster' could just as easily be used against me. Well, back to the drawing board."
  • Discussed: "That crazy bastard did it. He actually made a monster that was 50% man, 50% robot, and 50% alien. How can we possibly stand a chance against that thing?"
  • Conversed: "Man, that villain from the latest episode, Tropenstein, is Crazy Awesome. He tried to make a monster that was 50% man, 50% robot, and 50% alien."
