I want to throw the Trope Pantheons pages down a well, want opinions

For those who don't know, I really liked the Trope Pantheons pages from TV Tropes, but I hated how it turned from a fun multi editor crossover fanfic and more of a circlejerk contest for idiots wanting to write apologist fiction for their favorite characters, so I've been trying to refactor it for ATT.

I've come to the conclusion we'd be better off torching the current version and starting from scratch if we ever have our own version, as the current version is loading with so much bad fanfic BS and lousy formatting it would be pain in the ass at best to fix it, and if we started from scratch, it would be easier to mass template the whole thing.

For these reasons, I want to delete the current version of those pages, salt the earth from which they grew, then maybe plant a new version sometime in the future that doesn't suck so much.

Opinions?

First of all, if you want to grow future crops, torching works well, but salting is a bad idea.

Second of all, here's a link to what we're discussing: Trope Pantheons.

My own opinion is pretty ambivalent. It's fanfic, but it's on-topic fanfic at the least. And it's pretty much segregated from the rest of the website. The few times I've ventured in there, it's looked like a big mess. So I stayed out.

I'm not opposed to people having fun on the website (says the creator of {{Clippy}}). The presence of the Pantheon pages don't really bug me, nor do they aid me. They just are. I mean, I dislike them, but I dislike all massively collaborative fiction, because it's never actually good.

Okay, point noted, don't want to permanently salt the earth in case we make our own version in the future, but I do want to burn down the current version because it would just be a massive hassle to fix in it's current state.

Deleted via my bot, can always restore or create a new version if anyone objects in the future.
