So, here's the template for the Trope Pantheon: User:Jade Shauni/sandbox I know it must go through some reworks and polishing before it gets posted, the reason why I didn't put it up yet in the Template box, it's because once the others see that TP is back, they'll go wild, because they didn't know about the rules that you see there. Plus, how do I put it up without the run wild part happening? I want to put the rules in the template, without ruining the posting. (Ignore the Cheagal Writing, that's a trope that needs working, so it won't get deleted by lack of examples)).

I think some of the rules should be expanded upon, it looks like the Other Trope Wiki got serious with who gets into the TP after things became too insane for them to handle, so, they posted some rules which minimize any future damage (I see this as a bit too late, but it puts less future work when new tropers come in with new gods). If I can't put the rules on the template, they should be in the actual TP page, like how the Other Trope Wiki does it. Okay, so we don't need anything from Tv Tropes' Trope Pantheon rules, we're good to go. Right? So, how do I make a template and where do I post the rules.

Check out existing templates to make sure you don't pick a name we already have for an existing template, then create a new one in Template namespace.

I also recommend using an existing template that already fits your needs as a base, copy the page contents over to your new template, then add the information you need to the modified template.

If possible, you should make this template an infobox similar to the site notices you occasionally see atop the site header.

Oh, I got lost, when I went to search templates, now I'm wondering how do I make a template/docs and can there be two/several gods for one trope or should the TP be about one god per trope? Also, should I add in the rules that the gods won't get rotated out, because when I logged out, I just realize that I should add more, before I put the template up.

1. Start a forum topic and solicit some advice from other people, it's clear this idea needs more work.

Thanks, I follow your advice and put it in a forum. I want to do this right, because if we don't seal off the holes, we'll end up like Tv Tropes.

Not really. As long as we keep the idiotic attempts at fanfiction to a minimum, that alone will make ours better than the one on TVT.
