This was a request for an exemption to the license that all users - from first-time posters to seasoned bureaucrats - offer their contributions under. Not possible, the way MediaWiki is coded.

It doesn't matter.

First, All The Tropes does not have an "auto-protection" capability.

Second, everyone who contributes to this wiki, from the longest-standing bureaucrat/administrators to the newest members, agrees that their contributions can be "edited mercilessly and redistributed at will" - we remind people of that in the text under every page edit box.

So... no, I can't provide anyone (including myself) with auto-protection.
