I want to thank you again on your intervention in our latest drama. It really helped put things into perspective.

Right now, I'm torn between leaving this Wiki behind or staying just to try and make a difference in ensuring all the work, heart and dedication I poured into certain tropes over five years isn't flushed down the drain. Do you have any way of helping me? Any words of encouragement that will convince me on what path I need to take? It'd be nice to know I still have friends here.

The first thing you should do is to stop making things worse. It's hard to get reconciliation when you keep talking about how other people are responsible for your behavior. We're past the point (or should be) where it matters who is right or wrong -- the decision was made and we all need to get along with each other now.

Right now, I'm guessing your wiki hobby isn't any fun. If I were you, I'd take a little time off the wiki, just to get myself in a better frame of mind. Have fun. Maybe watch some TV or read a book. Can I recommend Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality? I think that one might be helpful to you. No one's going to delete all of your work, it will all be here when you feel like hanging around with us again.

Or you can go off on your own thing, if you'd rather be lonely and correct, rather than helpful and occasionally wrong and part of a community. That choice isn't necessarily wrong, but in my experience it's really easy to lose heart on an empty wiki. We all want other people to appreciate our work.

I respect all of the work you've put into Complete Monster. I know it's been a lot of work, though I don't entirely understand why that's the case. I still think it's an objective trope and people are nuts about it. But I'm also a meteorologist, and I think climate change is objective fact and people are nuts about it too. :( If you want to continue to improve those pages, I think we have a place for you.

That's what I intend to do. If I can clean up my own act and better my behavior here, maybe others can do the same, so if this issue is revisited in the future OR there's a similar issue popping up, we can deal will it more civilly and gracefully.

Only if the subpages remain as they are right now. If they get turned into just hubs for links to other, smaller, content-lacking subpages, then I'd consider the trope I worked so hard on contributing to to be eviscerated.

I don't have the means or knowledge of how to fork my own Wiki, so that's out of the question.

Why it's the case would be because rampant misuse of the trope was very much present when it was first forked, the pages were untidy and lacked good sorting and structuring, and there was criteria for qualifying examples that needed to be established in order to make sure people didn't add whatever villain they wanted to the trope even if that villain had mitigating qualities or was to either too insufficiently heinous or too eclipsed in heinousness to stand out relative to other villains featured in their work. And what do you mean by "a place for me?" What place?
