Hi! I see you have a list of missing images at User:Damian Yerrick/broken images. Could you make sure your list is up to date, then make sure every page on your list has Category:Broken image markup, please? That way, we won't have two lists tracking the same problem.

I last updated the list five years ago. I guess over the weekend I could re-run the backup process that produced the list. I might also need to figure out how to make a bot to edit the category into each file description page.

Unfortunately, it appears I am too late. Should Blog:Proposal for new policy on Bot accounts become policy, it will cause me to lose the privilege to operate a bot under the User:Mechanical Boy Pino account.

• Per rule 1, I have not yet sought approval from other members of staff to edit the category into the pages.
• Per rule 7, I have not yet sought approval from staff to grant rollback privilege to the account User:Damian Yerrick, and per Special:ListUsers/rollbacker, as of today, only staff are in the relevant group anyway.

If need be, we can grandfather in existing bots and make exceptions where absolutely required, the new policy is not official, and you may feel free to lodge objections with implementation prior on the proposal page comments so we can be more accommodating for your situation.

Or we could look at your contributions and decide whether to grant your account Rollbacker rights. Every bot run, including my own, will need permission to make the particular change.

We should have considered the need for grandfathering while forming the policy.

I for one have no problems with extending rollbacker rights -- and subsequent bot rights -- to Damian. He's one of our oldest users and over the years he has both directly and indirectly helped us clean up much of the problems left after the fork.

In light of the point you brought up, I added a clause to our proposed bot policy that prevents us from penalizing all users with bots retroactively, so please do whatever bot job you were doing with no fear the policy will penalize you. It will also grandfather you and your bot in and guarantee you rollback rights, which we would be pleased to give you anyway since you do good work.
