The term "Felony Misdemeanor" seems much more concise for this trope, in my opinion - shorter, much snappier, and less overly-specific in terms of what the name brings to mind versus the current one. I know we're not obligated to follow TVT's lead in everything (...or in anything), but for me a good idea's a good idea.

Circling back to this to raise the idea again - though I'm thinking it might be worth calling it a "Major Misdemeanor" or something similar, so as not to ape TVT completely.

"Major Misdemeanor"... I kinda like that. I vote aye.
Likewise - "Major Misdemeanor" is shorter and more descriptive than "Jaywalking Will Ruin Your Life". Vote to rename.
Yeah, I'm okay with this.
Voting yes.
Voting for Major Misdemeanor, okay to suggest Disproportionate Misdemeanor?
I'm still wedded to the former, but the latter isn't an entirely bad name.
We can set one as a redirect to the other.
Honestly think it works as is? A little long to be sure, but reasonably clear to me anyway
After two days, we have five-and-a-half votes to rename to "Major Misdemeanor", a half-vote to rename to "Disproportionate Misdemeanor", and one vote against renaming. Let's let this run for another day at least.
Voting for the rename to "Major Misdemeanor"
Well, "another day at least" turned into two weeks, and the only difference is that 'rename to "Major Misdemeanor"' got another vote.
Renaming the trope.
