The trope that used to be called "Red Baron" is called Sobriquet here. If you had actually looked at the page we have on the historical Red Baron you would have seen a note to that effect at the end of the main text.

Please do not link to the fandom.com wiki just to use the old name of a trope. As you might imagine, it will cause considerable confuston.

I think it's an understandable mistake. The problem is that the disambiguation notice is on the bottom of the page, where it can be easily missed. I'll fix that now.

Our style guide is pretty clear about where the disambiguation notice goes on a page:

Although All The Tropes does not use Wikipedia-style hatnotes, we do sometimes incorporate similar linking to alternate page choices in the main text of an article, usually just before the trope or example list, in a form like "If you're looking for the video game of the same name, go here" or the infamous "Not to be confused with".

And it's pretty clear after reading the first sentence of the page's description that Red Baron is about the Red Baron.

I tried to add the "Red Baron" trope, but the only one I could find closest to it on the drop-down list was the "Red Baron" character and the "Laconic" bit of "Red Baron", hence I had no choice but to use the external link to add it in, i'm not too used to All The Tropes' style yet like I am with the regular TV Tropes page, so i'm sure you can understand the honest mistake.

Just as a word of advice, then -- if in the future you can't find the trope you want, ask. Post a question either in the forums or on the talk page of one of the mods. You'll get an answer in 24 hours or less -- sometimes much less.

Finally we strongly recommend that you read How We Do Bans Around Here. This isn't a threat -- this is the wiki policy strictly controlling how and when user bans can be applied by an Admin. We want you to be aware that unlike TVT, we do not ban users on whims or because we're cranky -- and that you know what we do ban people for, and what it takes, so you can avoid future problems.
