• At the beginning of the volume Sword Worlds, it describes a Sword Worlder soldier returning from duty in the Fifth Frontier War and walking to his home, to find it in ruins, but see's his wife gallantly putting the pieces of their home together. At another scene toward the end this soldier's brother tries to convince him to go with him on an epic migration into the stars. The retired soldier gives his brother a warm goodbye, but he remains, firmly convinced that There's No Place Like Home.
