Trivia tropes for the comics:

• What Could Have Been: Spider-Man: The New Animated Series was originally going to be an adaptation of this comic series. Instead, it was changed into being a sort of follow-up to the first live-action film. However, after the announcement that The Spectacular Spider-Man had been cancelled, it was made news that a new Spider-Man series would be made, based upon this series.
  • The series isn't based on the comics so much as its premise is lifted from the recurring theme of the latter half of the comic series. (To be precise, the idea of training Spider-Man to his full potential, which In-Universe general consensus agrees would make him the next great leader of heroes and the single greatest hope for protection of the next generation.)

Trivia tropes for the video game:

• Hey, It's That Voice: Mac is Spider-Man, Clover is Mary Jane, Destro/Devastator is Venom, Tetrax Shard is Nick Fury, Daniel Holtz is Wolverine, Babu Bhatt is Shocker and Adrian Toomes, Bastila Shan--alternatively Clover's fellow spy, Sam and prior incarnations of Black Cat and Mary Jane--is Silver Sable (for the first time), Dan Dastun/Sabretooth is the Green Goblin, Obi-Wan Kenobi/Johnny Test is Electro, Danny Phantom is the Human Torch (for the first time), and Robin/Nightwing is Richard Parker.

Trivia tropes for the TV Series:

• The Danza: Stan Lee as Stan the janitor.
• Flip-Flop of God: Christopher Yost denied rumors that The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Ultimate Spider-Man take place in the same universe. Jeph Loeb went on to confirm those rumors. Viewers have pointed out that if Loeb's word becomes true, it would open up a mess of contradictions.
• Hey, It's That Voice!: Drake Bell voices Spider-Man, another teenager with "Parker" as a family name.
  • J.K. Simmons is back as J. Jonah Jameson.
  • Nathan Petrelli is Iron Man.
  • Clark Gregg reprises his role as Agent/Principal Coulson.
  • Chi McBride(Bishop, Laverne Winston) is voicing Nick Fury!
  • Steven Weber (Brian Hackett) voices Norman Osborn and Trapster.
  • Tom Kenny voices Doc Ock, The Wizard and Curt Connors.
  • Kevin Michael Richardson is Robbie Robertson.
  • Tara Strong is Mary Jane and Thundra!
  • Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker) voices Flash Thompson, Klaw and Harry Osborn, who was voiced by Obi-Wan Kenobi in the last Spider-Man series.
    • Funnily enough, the last animated incarnation of Klaw was voiced by Mark Hamill.
  • Greg Cipes (Kevin Levin, Beast Boy) voices Iron Fist/Danny Rand. This isn't the first time a Hero for Hire was voiced by a Teen Titan.
  • Ogie Banks (Warren Williams) voices Power Man/Luke Cage.
  • Clancy Brown voices Taskmaster.
  • Keith Szarabajka voices Living Laser.
  • Rob Paulsen voices Batroc the Leaper.
  • Maurice LaMarche voices Doctor Doom.
  • Caitlyn Taylor Love and Logan Miller (Izzy and Tripp) voice White Tiger/Ava Ayala and Nova/Sam Alexander.

• Playing Against Type: Tom Kenny plays the aforementioned Doctor Octopus, who is incredibly quiet and menacing in this incarnation.
• Talking to Himself: Tom Kenny voices Doc Ock, Wizard and Curt Connors while Tara Strong voices Mary Jane and Thundra. There's even a brief exchange of dialogue between MJ and Thundra during the pilot.
• What Could Have Been: Paul Dini reportedly tried to enrich this show with some mature elements, but the studio rejected them.
• Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Due to repeated attacks at Jeph Loeb because of the show's quality, his Facebook page was closed down.
