Basic Trope: They don't have much skill...but they don't need it.

  • Straight: Bob has Super Strength, but his strategy is pretty much "punch until it stops moving".
  • Exaggerated: Bob has a vast array of superpowers, but zero skill.
  • Justified: Since Bob can rely on his superpowers, he doesn't need to fall back on skill.
  • Inverted: Weak but Skilled
  • Subverted: Bob is temporarily depowered. He reveals that he's quite skilled, but just keeps it to himself.
  • Double Subverted: ...But he's only skilled when depowered.
  • Parodied: Bob is a drooling moron who does nothing but punch people; his allies have to make sure they've pointed him in the right direction before they turn him loose.
  • Deconstructed: The Big Bad successfully kills Bob by taking advantage of his lack of skill.
  • Reconstructed: Bob gets lucky and manages to kill the Big Bad anyway.
  • Zig Zagged: Sometines Bob fights with skill, sometimes he fights with strength.
  • Averted: He's a fair mix of skilled and strong.
  • Enforced: ???
  • Lampshaded: "Skill? I don't need skill!"
  • Invoked: Bob's Evil Mentor, who is in cahoots with the Big Bad, deliberately does not teach him or teaches him the wrong things so that he will not be a threat to the Big Bad.
