I don't know where you get the idea that rules don't apply to you, but sorry, you're wrong. When you first registered here, and every time you post, you agreed to the Terms of Service, and item one on that is "You promise not to be a huge jerk on our site."

You've basically said you can ignore this rule because your rights overrule the rights of everyone else on the wiki.

You're wrong.

If you're going to act like a spoiled brat and scream at anyone trying to get you to behave, well, then, we're putting you in a corner for a time-out for a week. I honestly don't think it's going to do any good -- I fully expect you to come roaring back in here about how you have every right to be an asshole and break every toy in sight and we're tyrants if we expect you to behave like a grown-up. When you do, you'll probably get a permanent ban because you will have proven that you are not the kind of wiki member who can meaningfully contribute to the community, because you don't see a community, you only see yourself. But you may surprise us. I'm giving you the chance to surprise us instead of throwing you out on your ass.

As we can see, we have another stupid prick who thinks he is so important because he is an admin that nobody should disagree with, very hypocritical asshole, i am wrong because i rejected you, so hurt you are little prick. People mock the admins and mods in tv tropes because they are assholes who believe are always right, like you. Think, if so many people think so, then couldn't be true?

MOD: No, you are wrong because the site's rules that were decided by the Tropers say you are wrong. If you have a problem with that, suggest a rule change..

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

You removed examples without saying why. I have put them back.

You also replaced the page quote. I've put the old page quote back and moved your new quote to the Quotes subpage for that trope.

Removing other people's contributions without a reason is just rude. MOD: Please don't do that again.

@Labster @GethN7 @Looney Toons @QuestionableSanity @Derivative @SelfCloak

Infinite (talkcontribs)

Rude? You know what's rude? Considering "bad behavior" that people remove COPIED content (like most of the content of all the tropes) and tries to be original.

What is wrong with you?

Infinite (talkcontribs)

Is there any chance I can block you or can you stop showing up here? It hurt my eyes to see your name now.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

Only mods can block other users. If you want that ability, you have to show that you can be trusted to use it for the benefit of the wiki as a whole and not because somebody annoyed you.

Summary by Infinite

Talk latter with you on gmail Rabid, bye.

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

I'm just stopping by to let you know that I'm traveling, so this'll be updated sporadically

Infinite (talkcontribs)

Still traveling? Ok

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

Not yet, exactly. But we will, next month

Infinite (talkcontribs)

so what do you want talk about?

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

Well, ,I've noticed that an discussion that promotes All The Tropes:Literary Criticism is something that TVT discourages. It's usually "Stop, discussion is too controversial to talk about" over there

Infinite (talkcontribs)

And what does tv tropes with that? Just discourage it?

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

It's usually an mod forcing them to change the subject under the threat of an forum ban. And keeping controversial topics off the wiki.

Infinite (talkcontribs)

But it's a tv tropes thing, if that discussion is from this site they cannot really do anything with it

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

As far as I can tell, ATT is trying to be an improvement over TVT

Infinite (talkcontribs)

That doesn't answer my question, and I think it's pretty obvious what this site is trying to be.

It still has a lot to work on if we are talking about level of stuff.

Seriously, this site needs improvement for a lot of pages.

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

I get what you're saying, but it looks like the TVT mods don't pay a lot of attention to external criticism

As for here, most of the content is out of date by a few years. Granted, the regulars are more active here tban the Wikis branch.

Infinite (talkcontribs)

regulars?

Infinite (talkcontribs)

This site doesn't have the trope strong and skilled, and it is one of my favorites.

Infinite (talkcontribs)

Well I just discovered the admins here are not different from tv tropes, immature pricks that start crying when somebody disagrees with them.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

I strongly suggest your reconsider that phrasing. I also strongly suggest that you read the entirety of this wiki's policy on Academic Freedom.

Infinite (talkcontribs)

Isn't "I strongly suggest you consider it"? I don't care what you suggest, I'm leaving all the tropes.

Tv tropes showed me in first sight how some mods can be a pain, fandom just proved me TVT aren't the only sinner on that, and all the tropes just confirmed my lack of belief on the mods here.

I strongly suggest you to stop wasting our time and focuses on fixing other things in this site, cause it honestly needs it.

I ask you, please, to stop sending messages here cause I'm leaving.

Do not edit-war with an admin

Not different nor improved in the end, just like tv tropes. Don't send me more messages please

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

It is preferred that redlinks such as the one to the British Supernatural series remain in place in order to inspire other users to turn them into proper pages.

-- Looney Toons, admin

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

Since you removed the redlink three times in one day despite the comments in the reversions of your edits saying that was undesired behaviour, you get to be the guinea pig for a relatively new wiki feature.

If I've done this correctly, you are blocked from editing that particular page - and only that particular page - for one week.

Infinite (talkcontribs)

Why I am not surprised.

Infinite (talkcontribs)

How I delete these topics from my wall? I don't want to see you here.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

If I recall correctly, only moderators can delete sections on Talk pages. So: work hard, build the wiki up so that it benefits everybody, accept that you won't always get your own way, and be trusted enough to become a mod... and then you can delete posts on a Talk page.

Infinite (talkcontribs)

Accept that won't always get your way... right because the moderators are so hurt when somebody doesn't follow their excuses to do anything and block them cause that's the only thing they can do when people don't listen to those excuses.

Regarding your file upload...

Summary by Infinite

Ok

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Referring specifically to 2012021-210117_wihnk9zcg4ucvprk3lel7tb2w.jpg: When you upload images, you are required to select a license option. This isn't just our policy, this is the law. Please see our page All The Tropes:Uploading and Adding an Image to a Page, particularly the section on licensing, for what should be enough information to help you make the right choice, but in general, if you can't find any information, selecting "Fair Use" is almost always safe.

Whenever possible, we would also like to see URLs for the image source in the description. Categories are nice, too. Again, read the page I linked to above.

Now I have to be a bad guy -- if you keep uploading files without the necessary information, we're going to have to hit you with a tempban to get your attention, with repeated doses if necessary. We don't want to do that -- why not save everyone all the unpleasantness by adding all the details to this file, and any future files you upload?

Thanks!

Infinite (talkcontribs)

My mistake, that image is not mine but uploaded from google.

I don't know who made it, so what details should I add to correct my mistake?

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

All the required information is laid out in the article I linked to in my message above. Please read that to find out what you need to do.

Infinite (talkcontribs)

Ok, thanks
