I've reverted your change to ...

...Over-the-Shoulder Carry for two reasons.

One, page image changes are to be discussed first and agreed upon before being implemented. This is done only in the Page Images area of the ATT Forums (reached by the link under Troping Utilities in the menu along the left edge of the page)

Two, you replaced the existing image with one that doesn't exist. That's... kinda stupid. We're not going to let a redlink live on the page when there was a perfectly good image there.

We will entertain your suggestion for a new image for the page -- but it has to be uploaded to the wiki first, or a link provided where we can see it. However, given your... less than stellar history with the wiki, I'm honestly expecting it to be something that is inappropriate.

@Lion Warrior, since you don't have image-upload rights, I cannot tell whether the image you wanted to use as a replacement was better, worse, or the same quality as the image that the page has now. So this advice is generic, not specific.

If you have a second image that you think is an example of a trope, feel free to start an Image Links subpage for the trope and link to the image on that subpage. You can do this by selecting the "Create New" option on the page's top menu, then selecting "Image Links" from the dropdown menu.

There's room for more than one image per trope, and the Image Links subpages are where we make that room.

Before you add a trope to a work's list...

... please make sure the trope means what you think it means.

@Looney Toons reverted your description of "Bare Your Midriff" to Scooby-Doo (film) and I removed the trope listing itself because the image you linked to is not an example of Bare Your Midriff. The trope specifically states "Note that simply showing the belly and a little skin around it, like a slightly open shirt, does not count."

If you want to change the description of a trope, please start a discussion about the trope in the Forums.

I've gone in and reviewed every image link that you've added to or as part of a trope entry; I've removed almost all of them as irrelevant or inappropriate, and replaced one with a shorter link that doesn't require an authorization token longer than the rest of the link (and which may at any point expire or be revoked). Please be aware that "Male Gaze" does not mean "there's a girl in this picture!" Nor does it mean your personal fetishes appear in the photo (the sweating underarms comment on Chuck/Characters was not "Male Gaze" by any definition of the trope).

I'm bringing this to the attention to the whole Mod staff, because I don't think we can trust you to properly illustrate or employ this and other tropes yet.

You're right. I am really sorry. I am going to leave this website. I've gone too far.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Okay, listen carefully to me: "Male Gaze" is a trope about a male character -- or a camera representing his point of view -- lingering lovingly on a female posterior such that it fills the screen and makes it very clear what they're looking at. It is not a Fan Reaction, nor is it a trope about the mere presence of a woman's butt being in-frame. Every single one of your links has been the equivalent of a 12-year-old boy squealing "omigod there's a girl in this picture".

Stop it.

@Lion Warrior:

This a formal notice that you have been temporarily blocked from editing anything on the wiki except for this page for two weeks because of a violation of item three under "Grounds for a warning on the first occurrence and a tempban on a repeated occurrence" on How We Do Bans Around Here, to wit:

Refusing to learn from honest mistakes, or repeatedly making the same honest mistake after it's been pointed out.

You have received numerous earlier warnings and suggestions, and you persist in adding irrelevant or inappropriate image links and examples to pages here. Further, you have compounded this by reverting a moderator edit earlier today -- i.e., "edit warring" with a wiki administrator; this demonstrates to us that you are unwilling to follow wiki content guidelines as laid out to you by staff.

Understand that this is now a final warning: if after this temporary block expires you persist in this behavior, you will receive a permanent ban from the wiki, per point six under "Grounds for a permanent ban without warning on the first occurrence" on How We Do Bans Around Here:

Repeating an action that previously warranted a tempban.

As noted above, you are still able to edit this page, if you wish to appeal or otherwise contact the moderation staff during your ban.
