Well, I already posted the first one, and the next was only copy pasting the basic outlines. And the side pages are built from the bottom up And well, I wanted to make the page before I left for abroad.

Look, I get it, you think something applies, but in case of a dispute, we discuss these matters, we do not edit war.

That applies to everyone.

Also, saw the edits, and remember, WE ARE NOT HERE TO SPREAD PROPAGANDA, and while your contributions have been, to this point, welcomed, we allow all views on a topic to be represented as neutrally as possible, and if you have an issue, again, we discuss this like adults.

If you have a problem with that, I will personally make sure there are no further problems, are we clear?

I'd like to avoid that if possible, so please take the above as a friendly warning for now.

I sincerely wasn't looking to start an edit war, nor was aiming to be provocative. Chalk that up perhaps to my ignorance of more controversial American issues, but all the same I apologize.

However, I would like to bring up concern as to whether the Gamergate page should have a "Trigger Warning" as recently added by Vorticity.

The "Trigger Warning" bit did seem a tad excessive IMO.

Political Correctness Gone Mad/Quotes

So uh, I do think you're wrong about the validity of the quote. The thing is, it creates a strawman about Political Correctness which is theoretically gone mad, but doesn't exist in reality in anyway. No one is asking for a change to the name of Oklahoma or Washington. Every example on the page is something in real life or in-universe, but the quote is a political fiction.

What the quote does do is attempt to incite hatred between two different groups of people -- which, for now, I'm calling "me" and "you". And, as such, it's a violation of ATT:1WAY, play nice. Conflation of fighting racism with destruction of culture is not cool.

I concur. This is not a place for that sort of crap. There is a thin line here between adding a trope example and trying to import culture war drama, and it's falling a fair bit over into danger zone territory, way too much for my taste, so I agree we need to leave that out.

I concede that it's an act of neglect on my part.

They use a CC BY NC SA license, we use CC BY SA licensing, so our licenses do not allowing porting from one site to another anymore. Any content you personally wrote their can be resubmitted here, but if not, you must write your own version.

If need be, you can use portions of the Wikipedia version as a base and tropify it (add the URL for where you got the information in your edit reasons), but DO NOT copy/paste anything from TV Tropes except your own personal work.

Here's a nice and legal starting point for a Fallout 4 article:

I took the lede from the Wikipedia version, stripped out the WP specific stuff, and trope linked it. I cited the web address of the imported content (you can see how in the page history) to fulfill CC BY SA attribution rules.

If you want, all you have to do is build on it from there. :)

Oh yeah, if you want to add tropes TV Tropes has but we don't, you'll have to make your own version of their trope page using your own resources (basically, write it in your words).

Thanks to their licensing change, we can't simply port over their material anymore, so if you want to fill out our trope collection, you'll have to start from scratch. :(
