• Fridge Brilliance:
  • The heroine's love interest didn't have much personality, and the romance ended before the film's climax, making the whole thing feel like needless filler. However, upon closer inspection, the romantic subplot was intended to deconstruct the concept of a Shallow Love Interest. To wit: guy digs heroine, heroine gets lovestruck and starts dating guy, a Two-Person Pool Party ensues...then the heroine finds out the hard way that it was all an act and the guy only wanted her for sexual favors.
