Basic Trope: A TV, book, or movie character is skeptical that his life would make a great premise for a TV show, book, movie, etc. within the character's world.

  • Straight: Alice is the start of "Alice and Bob" a detective drama. After solving a mystery for a Hollywood big shot, David, he asks if it's OK to make a movie based on the event. Alice asks, "Who wants to watch us?"
  • Exaggerated: Alice beats up everyone who even dares to mention the idea of making a story based on them.
  • Justified: When it comes to movie deal turning into a mess, this is Alice's questionable catchphrase.
  • Inverted: The producers question Alice's wish of making the film about them.
  • Subverted: Alice was at first a little skeptical about it, but soon warmed up to the idea.
  • Double Subverted: ... Until Bob points out reasons why this idea wouldn't work to Alice.
  • Averted: No one thinks to mention this.
  • Enforced: "We got to remind the answer that his is a television show. so put that line in."
