Caramel's absent-mindedness in the first chapter.
Cabbage Leaf introducing herself to the parents-to-be:

Cabbage Leaf: Hey there! So, everypony here who's having a foal, please raise your hoof.
Fluttershy: *raises hoof* Um... I suppose that could be um... me... I guess... if... if that's okay is with you

- Keep in mind, she says this while in labor
When Fluttershy loses it after several hours in labor. Keep in mind, this is Fluttershy:

Fluttershy: YOU DID THIS TO ME YOU BIG... LUNK-HEADED... BRUTE! NO! YOU KEEP BREATHING! THAT'S RIGHT, TRY TO KEEP BREATHING WHILE I STRANGLE YOUR STUPID HEAD OFF OF YOUR BIG... FAT... RED NECK! LET GO OF ME YOU NAGS! I'M GOING TO STRANGLE HIM! LET ME UP SO I CAN STRANGLE MY HUSBAND!
Granny Smith: Such a sweet filly. I sure as shootin' weren't so gentle with my husband when I was a-birthin' my first.

There's something amusing about the blink-and-you'll-miss-it reference to Soarin's eating habits having caught up with him.
