Strange first appeared in Strange Tales #110 (July, 1963), created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. He has been appearing ever since, featured as a star of his own series, in team books, and as a frequent guest star in other people's titles. His story has been adapted into a live-action Made for TV Movie and an animated DVD movie. A film adaptation for the Marvel Cinematic Universe was released in 2016, simply titled Doctor Strange and starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous character. Strange would appear in several subsequent MCU films before getting a proper sequel in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. |
