Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Natural History is an encyclopedia of sorts written by Pliny the Elder, a Roman writer and naval commander who was born in 23 A.D., and died in 79 A.D. of a heart attack while journeying to Pompeii to rescue relatives living there. Natural History is probably the Ur Example of the Great Big Book of Everything, predating Isidore of Seville's Etymologies by 421 years. |
