Accidental Innuendo:
- The Sonichu balls often inadvertently lent themselves to testicle references. "My two balls!" indeed.
- In the sixth issue, the characters hear an explosion. In response, Chris-Chan replies: "Somethings's happening downstairs! Sonichu, Magi-Chan, come with me!" The way the comic is drawn, it looks as though Chris-Chan's gnads are exploding.
Non Sequitur Scene:
- The Family Guy "skitch"
- The reenactment of a scene from Beavis and Butthead for no purpose other than Author Appeal.
Designated Hero: It's really hard to get behind any of the heroes, as they spend most of their time screwing and are quite prone to Disproportionate Retribution.
Ensemble Darkhorse: Many side characters such as Yawning Squirtle, Boulder Dropping Whale, Kel, Metal Sonichu and Bill the Scientist have become favorites among the "fanbase".
Every One Remembers the Stripper: Issue 8, the most sexually explicit issue, is also one of the most notorious.
Fandom Berserk Button: Calling Chris (either the character or the author) a woman due to the real Chris-Chan identifying as a transwoman and insisting that others do so is a good way to piss off the comic's readerbase. Not because they're transphobic, but because Chris only identified as a woman out of a belief that it would help him get laid and admitted as such, as opposed to a genuine sense of gender dysphoria. This is a sentiment shared by many transgender people familiar with Sonichu and Chris in general, as they do not want to be associated with someone known for raping his own mother, on top of his abhorrent and embarrassing behavior well before that.
Fanon Discontinuity: The author is known to Retcon large amounts of the series. It's up to individual followers of the comic whether any (and which) of them caught on or not.
Freud Was Right: Quite a few Narmy lines in the comic, as well as one, um, interesting depiction of a pistol. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Harsher in Hindsight: Chris excitedly exclaiming that "(his) love quest is finally over!" took a dark turn after he got arrested for sexually abusing his senile, elderly mother.
High Octane Nightmare Fuel: The deaths of Sean, Alec, Mao, and Evan, especially given the art style...
Idiot Plot: So many examples to choose from…
- Sonichu #1: Rosechu could have escaped on her own, considering she is just as powerful as the title character. But no, she willingly became the Damsel in Distress.
- Sonichu #4: If Chris-Chan hadn't done... whatever it was... that got him suspect of solicitation, this issue wouldn’t even have a premise, let alone a plot.
- Sonichu #8: All of it. Whether it’s Sonichu confusing drawings with reality, Rosechu trying to counteract 4-cent garbage’s pornographic drawings with her own pornographic photographs, or Magi-chan’s inability to warn Blake ahead of time the danger he was in, everybody has dropped quite a few IQ points this issue and that’s saying something.
- Sonichu #9: Dating Education, starting from the fact that the title concept doesn’t make any sense and only going worse from there.
Memetic Sex God: Mary Lee Walsh.
Memetic Outfit: While she canonically has grey hair and a viking helmet, earlier artwork of Mary Lee Walsh drew just the helmet, making her look like a bob-cut blonde with devil horns. Practically every piece of unofficial art portrays her as such as a result.
Narm: The biggest source of entertainment in Sonichu.
Narm Charm: Barely qualifies. Some parts contain enough Rouge Angles of Satin typos and awful dialogue to evoke the awesomeness that is Half Life: Full Life Consequences, but not enough to really make the comic enjoyable on its own.
Overshadowed by Controversy: The series is more known because of his creator's odd lifestyle and criminal charges than any of its own (lack of) merits.
Painful Rhyme: "Sonichu's Ode to Rosechu" uses lance/radiance, and the more obvious tweet/heartsweet.
The Scrappy: Sonichu and Rosechu's kids. The children are widely hated by everybody. Even more so than the other characters. This is saying a lot. They may or may not show traits of Creator's Pet as well.
Signature Scene: The "But During the Stone Age...!" moment is legendary for being the perfect example of the comic's bizarre imagery and nonsensical, if not surreal sense of humor.
Strangled by the Red String: Every single couple.
- Punchy is hinted to have a crush on Angelica. Then he ends up with Layla Flaaffy.
- Bubbles is with Blake. They hide their relationship for no clear reason.
- When Reldnahc is about to be cured of his homosexuality, there is talk of him getting back together with Kel. There is no mention of this in earlier chapters.
Straw Man Has a Point: Sean's drug induced rant.
Tastes Like Diabetes: The Sonees and Roseys, Sonichu's and Rosechu's children especially. In fact, their "cuteness" is so annoying that they're probably the most hated characters.
Tear Jerker: Episode 12.5 “One Lucky Dog”, Chandler’s tribute to his deceased pet. Your Mileage May Vary.
Villain Decay: Blake goes from being a Shadow ripoff to a generic Stu in the middle of an episode. Then, he hooks up with Bubbles and becomes a Satellite Character to a Satellite Character before being almost entirely written out.
Wangst: Chris-Chan when lamenting on how he can’t get a girl. Reginald Sneasel as well, being a stand-in for him when he was trapped in the Time Void.
What Do You Mean It's for Kids?: Chris apparently thinks graphic sex and violence are already for children. Including the Asperchu squad's gruesome executions.
