  • Disowned Adaptation: Michael Ende requested that the movies be killed before release or, failing that, not be associated with his name in any way. They did neither.
  • Hey, It's That Voice!: Alan Oppenheimer voices Falcor. To He-Man fans he's known for voicing Skeletor.
  • The Other Darrin: The second movie has only one of the main actors. The third has a lot of new actors.
  • What Might Have Been: The makeup team had originally intended to use body makeup on Noah Hathaway to make his skin and hair green like Atreyu's was in the novel, but their attempts to do so simply looked ridiculous. Hathaway himself said "It wasn't believable. I looked like fungi!"
