Barring anyone finding an overlapping trope at the last minute, I'm voting to launch.

Kuma (talkcontribs)

I vote to launch.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Since it's been a month, we have two votes for launch and none opposing. Thoughts @Robkelk @Looney Toons?

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Per our standard guidelines for community consensus, you need at least three votes more in favor than against or abstaining. Which means in this case, go back to work on it and try again later.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Okay! I'll do that :)

What is a "Cold Ham"?

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

I see it listed in an example, and from context it appears to be a trope that we don't have under that name. (Considering that the name is sufficiently esoteric that I can't figure out what it's supposed to be, that's probably on purpose.)

HeneryVII (talkcontribs)

A cold ham is a both a Large Ham and The Stoic. Calm, quiet, reserved, never raising his voice, and often speaking in a monotone, but still with very noticable overacting and often very snarky.

Leonard Nimoy (as Spock) is a good example of this. Alfred Hitchcock is another; watch the intros on Alfred Hitchcock presents and you'll see what I mean.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Oops I didn't realize that it was a relatively new TV Tropes thing. When one of my workshop pages gets launched, I can create a page with a similar name like "Deadpan Ham".

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

Thanks.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Absolutely!
