March March Dabrowski
A webcomic done mostly in rough sketches by troper Ksiezniczka loosely based on her own real life, with the central theme of learning to adjust to adulthood. It can be found here
Cynical lesbian feminist Ania Dabrowski lives in San Francisco with her girlfriend Vittie Belasco, and their two friends, the laid-back photographer Cass O'Malley, and the slightly-neurotic design student Vivi Meyer. The comic is mostly a series of sketchy one-shots following the four girls (and their Siamese cat Chairman Meow) throughout the city of San Francisco
Tropes used in March March Dabrowski include:
- Adolf Hitler: Cass's tattoo, which may or may not be canon.
- Also, before settling on Chairman Meow, Ania wanted to name the cat Kitler.
- Ambiguously Jewish: Ania
- Anachronic Order
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Lenka, at times.
- Author Avatar: Ania, who is deliberately drawn/written as somewhat unattractive and kind of pathetic.
- Bait and Switch Lesbians: Even though Ania and Vittie are the Official Couple, Ania acts like this with Cass, and Vittie with Vivi.
- The Bechdel Test
- Berserk Button: Do NOT call Ania Russian
- Or even hint at hitting on Vittie
- Bilingual Bonus: The author is from Poland and takes every possible chance to show this off.
- Black Comedy: Dips into this at times.
- Buffy-Speak
- Burger Fool / Brand X: Astro Burger
- Butch Lesbian: To certain degrees, Vittie and sometimes Ania.
- Caught with Your Pants Down: Ania and Vittie when the apartment is evacuated in the "Gas Leak" strip
- Crosses the Line Twice: At times
- Deadpan Snarker: All four girls have their moments
- Did You Just Have Sex?: The "Gas Leak" strip
- Doing It for the Art: The author has stated she doesn't care if anyone reads it
- Drop-In Character: Ania's sister Lenka
- Fan Service: Subverted - while the author has no qualms showing nudity, none of the girls have perfect bodies
- The Fashionista: Vivi
- Feminine Women Can Cook: Subverted. While Vittie is going to culinary school, she's the butchest of the quartet.
- Flanderization: The characters are all Flanderized versions of the author and her friends/girlfriend - with mostly negative traits emphasised.
- Four-Girl Ensemble: Played with. Which girl fits which role varies.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: Vivi is sanguine, Cass is choleric, Ania is melancholic, Vittie is phlegmatic. Most of the time.
- Genius Bonus: The title is a Shout-Out to the Polish national anthem Mazurek Dabrowskiego
- Gosh Dang It to Heck: Cass hates to swear.
- Gratuitous Foreign Language: Gratuitous Polish.

- Jerkass: All the characters have their moments.
- Les Yay: Not only between the two lesbians, but between Ania and Cass, Vittie and Vivi, and even Cass and Vivi.
- Lethal Chef: Ania. Good thing Vittie is studying at Le Cordon Bleu.
- Limited Social Circle
- Mistaken for Gay: Cass gets this a lot.
- Monochrome Casting: A fact which the author laments, even if it is Truth in Television
- Neat Freak: Vivi
- Not Me This Time: Ania in "Gas Leak"
- Noodle Incident: Any time anything in anyone's past is mentioned.
- Not a Morning Person: Ania and Cass
- Official Couple: Ania and Vittie
- Only Sane Man: This role alternates between Cass and Vittie
- Painting the Fourth Wall: Lenka speaks in cursive, which is supposed to represent her flowery tone of voice.
- Pimped-Out Dress: Some of Vivi's designs
- Punny Name: Chairman Meow
- Reality Is Unrealistic: The comic is blatantly based on the oddities of the author's real life.
- Real Women Never Wear Dresses: Averted. While Ania is a feminist, she loves girly things and occasionally dresses up.

- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: In the "Gas Leak" strip, no one seems to care Ania is naked. Actually, anytime Ania is naked.
- Sometimes when the girls are out on the street, too. It is San Francisco after all.
- Write Who You Know
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: At one point Ania dyes her hair blue
