Taimanin Asagi 2 (visual novel)

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.
Our heroines pretending to be prostitutes to dig up information about a gang. And this is only the start.

Released only one year after the first game, Taimanin Asagi 2 is a 2006 Hentai Visual Novel by Black Lilith and Anime Lilith.

After the destruction of the Chaos Arena at the end of the original Taimanin Asagi, the title character and her little sister Sakura go on a mission to investigate Tokyo Kingdom, an artificial island on the coast of sea in Japan, after three male Taimanins disappear on the same place. The place is a lawless hole crawled with criminals, prostitutes, and illegal immigrants, so the two ninjas pretend to be the second. They manage to get a hint that the criminal gang Ryuumon was likely involved with those disappearances.

However, thanks to a hacker accessing the database of the government agency they work for, they're ordered to pull out under the risk of their identities being leaked. But before they can, a girl called Saya confronts them. Revealing herself to be both a demon and a ninja, and saying all ninjas have the same powers as her, she captures Asagi and Sakura.

Waking up stuck to a wall of meat, with an unconscious Sakura by her side, Asagi meets Saya's boss: Oboro, but not the Oboro she knew, but a clone. But that clone carries the feelings of the previous Oboro, and proceeds to preside over Asagi and Sakura's torture and rape to avenge her original self.

Directed by Sasayama Ittousai, which also directed the first game. Published by Black Lilith and Lilith Soft and Ai Cherry and Anime Lilith.

Tropes used in Taimanin Asagi 2 (visual novel) include:
  • Absolute Cleavage: Asagi's prostitute disguise feature this.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: In the true ending, as soon Asagi realizes Saya had no intent of actually mortally wounding Sakura, so she spends the rest of her moments comforting the poor girl.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Minor antagonist Sokushitsuki wears full body armor and is not voiced, so it's impossible to say if he is male or female.
  • Ambiguous Situation: At the true ending, Asagi is still wondering there was really a human Saya or she was simply bred from the male Taimanins killed by clone Oboro.
  • Back from the Dead:
    • Subverted with Oboro. She is really a clone.
    • At the true ending, the real Oboro is back, but as a vampire.
  • Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Despite enduring endless rape for days and forced to drink and eat only semen, by the later parts of the VN Asagi and Sakura are still pretty curvy.
  • Big Bad: Clone Oboro is the real leader of Ryuumon and presides over the torture of Asagi and Sakura.
  • Bigger Bad: Oboro is working for the Chinese Union, a fictional dystopian super-state which has expanded well beyond the frontiers of 2006's China, but is also under communist rule.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Instead of fighting a assault team of soldiers with armour and heavy weapons, Asagi and Sakura simply set up the whole place with explosives and jump from the building after activating the detonator.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Saya's monstrous form is much cuter than any other demon.
  • Demonic Possession: During the true ending, Kuro is possessed by Edwin Black so he can tell Asagi about everything the vampire does.
  • Despair Event Horizon:
    • That is what Oboro says about what happened to Saya and led to her turning into a demon by committing suicide. Asagi finds hard to believe because she never even heard of her before despite also being a ninja.
    • In the true ending, Sakura is apparently mortally wounded by Saya. Seeing her sister in agony, Asagi finally activates her demon power to avenge her by killing her killer.
  • The Dragon: Saya is Oboro's right-hand woman, a powerful fighter that Asagi despite all of her power can't actually defeat.
  • Driven to Suicide: What Clone Oboro wants to induce into Asagi, so she can kill herself like she says Saya did and become a demon, because the act makes your very soul dirty.
  • Enemy Within: What Asagi thinks her demonic self is, but instead she tries to help her in breaking out of captivity.
  • Eyes of Gold: Both Saya and Asagi's demonic side have yellow eyes, hinting at their demonic nature.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: According with Saya and Asagi's own demon self, all ninjas have demon heritage on them.
  • Healing Factor: Kuro can heal from any injury as long is not fatal.
  • Mysterious Past: Asagi and Sakura are confused by Saya being a ninja, but Clone Oboro does say she is a ninja who she has tortured for so long that she killed herself and her demonic side came out.
  • Naughty Tentacles: Both Saya and the sex demons use of tentacles to rape their victims.
  • No Kill Like Overkill: To get Kuro before he can help Asagi and Sakura, Saya detonates an entire, kilometres-long bridge, with such a strength all of its pillars fall on the sea.
  • Pink Is Girly: Saya is exaggeratedly girly and has pink hair and ninja costume.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: It is not an exaggeration to say approximately ninety-eight percent of the lines coming out of Saya's mouth come in a childish, musical tone. She is also extremely vicious and cruel.
  • Sideboob: Asagi's demonic form wears an armor who shows the exterior of her breasts.
  • Super-Powered Evil Side: Demon Asagi seems to be a subversion: despite her scary appearance, her dark armour and her claws, she isn't actively malicious.
  • A Tragedy of Impulsiveness: Asagi is horrified at discovering she killed Saya out of a bluff and tries to comfort her as she lays dying.
