Jobs generally are posted on a bulletin board (or encrypted dataserver or cork slab, depending on the setting), where certified adventurers sign up for them. "Certified Adventurers" is basically a euphemism for [[Anime Hair|spiky haired]] [[Wangst|obsessives]], [[Action Girl|teen girls]] [[Seen It a Million Times|who will almost certainly]] [[Rebellious Princess|turn out to be princesses]], and other protagonist types.
