Line 63:
* Artistic License: Biology: Lampshaded by Katie regarding the season-specific tree decorations, if the player interacts with Katie's sakura swing with her being present on it.
* Balloonacy: The party balloons furniture will make an animal float on air while holding them if he/she interacts with them. The floating balloon swing is basically that as well, a swing held on air by balloons.
* Bare Your Midriff: The sarong and swimsuit from the Beachwear Collection expose the most skin compared to typical clothing items in the Animal Crossing games. The mermaid dress from Francine's cookie and the colorful palace dress from Julia's cookie also expose the midriff.
* Beach Episode: Roald's Memory. Also, July 2019's aesthetic.
* Boring but Practical: Crafting cheap items with minimal time taken is the fastest way of building up duplicates to dump on Gulliver, especially if the player just focuses on the exclusive animals/maps that have a chance of coming with him upon return.
Line 146:
* Fetch Quest: The main game mechanic outside of the usual crafting and decorating.
* Filler: Until a later update, pretty much all Mix-and-Match Decorations event notices that used to occur during weekends. These do not reward anything but Bragging Rights Reward and their sole purpose is to promote the current running themes (almost always related to event fortune cookies, pretty much promoting them). These are now demoted to the Loading Screens.
** Played straight for event notices that remind players that certain special cookie/furniture's event time will run out. While this is more like a Player Nudge if they want to buy one at the last minute, this event notice still does not introduce anything to the game.
* Five Second Foreshadowing: Rarely, the player will express one of the two emotions when they are about to eat a fortune cookie. A "glee" emotion will guarantee getting either bronze or silver fortune (or even rarely for the event cookies, gold), while a "surprise" emotion will guarantee getting either silver or gold fortune (the latter only applies to event cookies).
* Fluffy Cloud Heaven: June 2019's aesthetic.
Line 194:
** Any Chip Challenge that requires the player to fish out a certain number of event fish with a certain size or above, since fish size is random. It finally culminated in Fishing Tourney Monochromatic Cat, which became infamous for its sea bass collecting Challenge requiring a minimum size of 105 cm, which is large for its type, as its size average is around 90s and it is possible to fish out "smaller" ones worth 80s. While this should not be bad on its own if it is only very few required, the sea bass is (ironically) the rarest fish in this tourney and the player is required to fish 30 of them. Even golden rod users are stumped on this Challenge. Remember, Fishing Tourneys are Timed Missions.
* Macro Zone: The fairy-themed terrain set makes the campsite appear to be placed in a gigantic forest.
* Magic Carpet: Comes in two variations in Julia's Palace Cookie. One is the standard one that only fits one person, the latter is a decorated magic carpet that can fit two people. The latter of these items unlocks Julia's Memory.
* Microtransactions: Like many free-to-play games, this game has a premium currency shop where the player can buy Leaf Tickets with real money.
* Misplaced Wildlife: Justified for the rare creatures as they are either attracted to flowers that are implied to originate from different regions (bugs) or are possibly placed by Chip himself for the player to fish out (Wild Mass Guessing for the fish). Despite this, most of the creatures... are much less than realistic compared to the normally realistic catches (cube bumblebees? Candy fish?) found in the Animal Crossing games.
