On a threat level Vilgax was capable of destroying planets single-handedly, creating black holes to destroy even ''more'' planets, and is such a bastard that the plumbers are all terrified of him, and most lifeforms are unwilling to work with him, so he has to use robots. In contrast, the plumbers don't seem to consider the Highbreed as much of a threat, andconstantly hire bounty hunters and suchlike. On a physical level, Ben never stood a snowballs chance in hell chance against Vilgax in any of their fights, whereas he could beat a highbreed in a fair fight. On a personal level, Vilgax is completely remorseless and relentless, and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. The Highbreed, after {{spoiler|getting healed by the Omnitrix, and losing their "purity" pretty much say "Oh, okay. we're sorry we were so mean, we'll be nice now. ** Well, there's a lot ''more'' of them than there are of Vilgax. Vilgax is apparantly one lone, rogue member of his species, an interstellar gangster whose resources are pretty much confined to one ship. The Highbreed have the numbers, infrastructure and planning to launch a coordinated war against the galaxy. Vilgax can be a hundred times stronger than any Highbreed, but if there's a million Highbreed, they still win. And were the Plumbers ever really scared of Vilgax? Max was scared for ''Ben'', because Vilgax has every reason to kill Ben, but whenever he's facing down Vilgax alone (such as the flashback scene with the missile), he comes off as pretty [[Badass]].
*** Though Vilgax seems to have picked up a fleet along the way, going by the AF previews, so that might be about to change...
