A common Japanese gesture when preparing to take on a difficult task is to "make a muscle" and rub one's bicep, emphasizing strength. "''Yoshi!''" (''"OK!"'', or ''"Alright!"'') is frequently said with a determined expression when doing this, whereas Westerners usually just grunt.
