Owen never mentions that he speaks fluent Russian (his mom escaped the Iron Curtain and he has a knack for languages) and instead lets the Russian translate knowing he'd catch him in a lie if he tried to. Owen is surprised when the only changes are dramatic exaggerations of stories.
