Dragon Ball/Characters/Movie Villains: Difference between revisions

* [[Complete Immortality]]: The only one to have this wish successfully given to him by Shenron, as well as the only one to actually have absolute immortality (although some characters were implied to be immortal, such as Master Roshi and the Androids, it seems to be limited to natural causes).

** [[Immortality Hurts]] [[Fate Worse Than Death|Worse than Death]]: He's trapped in the Dead Zone, literally forever as he'll never die.

* [[Hoist by His Own Petard]]/[[What an Idiot!]]: Unlike his enemies, he literally cannot die. The first half of the movie was him basically moving to make that the case. Yet somehow he gets the [[Sarcasm Mode|brilliant idea]] of opening a void to eternal darkness - this '''can''' backfire, and thus become worse torture for him than for anyone else ever because, again, he literally cannot die.

** Then he manages to get out by stroke of luck because his home planet approaches Earth and gives him enough power to do this. Only for him to get so mad at the foiling of his [[Evil Plan]] to [[Take Over the World]] that…[[Took a Level In Dumbass|he goes back to the well all over again]].

* [[Theme Naming]]: He and his minions are all named after spices/condiments.

* [[You Killed My Father]]: Kami, prepare to die!!

 

== Dr. Wheelo ==

* [[Evil Counterpart]]: To the reformed Demon King Piccolo.

* [[Evil Overlord]]

* [[Multiple Choice Past]]: Let's just say his backstory relating to his existence as a Namek is different between various versions. The Japanese version had him being sent away from Namek as a baby during its cataclysmic climate shift (similar to the Namekian who would become Piccolo and Kami), and the English version implies that he is the last of a group of Super Nameks who were exiled from Namek via the Namekian Dragon Balls due to misuse of their power.

* [[Weaksauce Weakness]]: Weakened by Gohan's ''whistling''.

** Parodied and expanded in [[Dragonball Z Abridged|DBZ Abridged's "Lord Slug" movie]]; {{spoiler|since Piccolo and Nail were weak to the whistling.}}

 

== Cooler ==

 

* [[Avenging the Villain]]: However, does this restore honor to his family, and for that reason only.

* [[Benevolent Boss]]: Unlike Frieza, Cooler seems to care for his troops, or at the very least does not abuse them in any way, and is probably one of the few redeemable traits he has. It also explains why the Armored Squadron is more than willing to serve under Cooler.

* [[Blasphemous Boast]]: He said one before Goku blasted him into the sun: "It is I who decides who lives and who dies! All living things are mere playthings to me! No one can comprehend my power and cunning!"

* [[Cain and Abel]]: He has no love for his brother. In fact, if Goku hadn't killed him, Cooler would've gladly done the job for him.

* [[Complete Monster]]: It runs in the family, it seems.

* [[Genre Savvy]]: When his minions encounter an enemy too powerful for them to beat he steps in himself almost immediately. Later, upon realizing Goku's power is great enough to challenge him he distracts him with a ki attack before throwing a Planet Crusher at him, knowing Goku would either take it head on or dodge it and the planet would be destroyed which lets Cooler win anyway.

* [[Hurl It Into the Sun]]: Via Goku's Kamehameha pushing his own Supernova back into him.

** [[No One Could Survive That]]

* [[Mask Power]]: His ultimate form.

* [[Nice Job Fixing It, Villain]]: He had the chance to kill Goku long before he even made it to Earth. He didn't, and he and his brother lived to regret it.

** When he realizes this, it leads to his [[Villainous Breakdown]].

* [[One-Winged Angel]]: He even has an ''extra'' transformation that Frieza didn't have. Didn't do him much good.

* [[Pride Before a Fall]]: See the [[Blasphemous Boast]] above? He says that literally seconds before his defeat.

* [[Spell My Name with an "S"]]: Cooler, Coola, Koola, Kula? Let's just chalk this one up to personal preference.

** For whatever reason, the Japanese writing of his name seems to be クウラ rather than クーラ. The latter is the more typical way of writing long vowels in foreign words and names.

* [[Wolverine Publicity]]: Again, he's appeared twice, and has been in numerous games.

* [[Your Head Asplode]]: Inverted in his first defeat: The only part of his body that WASN'T destroyed from being sent into the sun by the Supernova was his head.

 

== Android 13 ==

Another Android that was created by Gero and completed by his computer long after his death. As with nearly all of Gero's androids, he only has one objective: kill Goku.

 

* [[Always Accurate Attack]]: His S.S. Deadly Bomber which tracks its target like a heat-seeking missile.

* [[Artificial Human]]

 

* [[Expy]]: It's essentially the exact same idea of a robot being created to carry on the creators hatred (Dr. Gero's Super Computer for Goku, Dr. Raichi for the Saiyan race as a whole).

* [[Marth Debuted in Smash Bros]]: Its first appearance outside Japan was in ''Raging Blast 2'', where it is both a playable character as well as featuring in the remastered version of ''Plan To Eradicate The Super Saiyans'' included in the game.

* [[So Last Season]]: Stated to have the same power level as Broly (more specifically his Movie 8 incarnation), the heroes have an easier time with him presumably because they since got stronger after their fight with Broly. They still have a lot of trouble though as one ending requires a spirit bomb and the other requires taking advantage of its [[Artificial Stupidity]]

 

== Bojack ==

A demon that was created from the evils of a machine that exploded in the afterlife and grafted onto the ogre that was watching it. First started off as a fat child like yellow being. But after Goku trounces that form, it tranforms into a more fight-abled body that needed Gogeta to defeat him.

 

* [[Blood Knight]]: Really debatable with the first form, definitely the case with the second; as he laughs manically seeing his sword crumble due to Vegeta's power

* {{spoiler|[[Deader Than Dead]]: Gogeta completely destroyed Janemba, allowing the ogre he posessed to be reformed/freed}}

* [[Reality Warper]]: He notably turned Hell into a jelly-bean covered playground, and revived all the deceased villains.

== Hirudegarn ==

 

* [[Achilles' Heel]]: It's stated not to be as hard to fight if you can rid yourself of your fear of it. Its hard not to get a little anxious given the approach Hirudegarn takes

* [[God of Evil]]: A deity of apocalyptic destruction given life through his animated idol.

* [[Kaiju]]: ''Dragon Fist Explosion: If Goku can't do it, no one can'' is basically what happens when the animators get drunk and agree to "wouldn't it be cool if Goku gets to fight Godzilla?"

** Also a case of [[Hoist by His Own Petard]], as the only reason why Goku's Dragon Fist Explosion even worked is because Hirudegarn became far too enraged at Goku's taunts to remember to dissipate from Goku's attacks.

*** Rather he couldn't as its tail, the source of that power, was cut off by Trunks.

* [[Made of Air]]: Can't even touch it half the time

* [[One-Winged Angel]]: Shedding its outer layer like a monstrous cicada to reveal an even more powerful, nightmarishly insectoid form beneath.
