One of his most brilliant insights is when the group was falling to their deaths and he suggests that Thief and Fighter grab onto Black Mage and Red Mage, and have the two cast Feather Fall. Which would have been a great idea... had Red Mage not blown all his spells on distracting Sarda, which likely could have been fixed with his mime ability but Black Mage dumped all his non-apocalyptic spells while he was power tripping on evil.
