Fire Emblem/Fanfic Recs: Difference between revisions

* ''Synopsis'': A young man from earth gets sucked into the world of Fire Emblem. He experiences life, romance and hardships along the way.

* ''Comments'': This is one of the best first-person fics in the fandom I've seen in a while. John, the self-insert, is not a Gary Stu, but rather a confused young man who ponders his place in the FE world. Also, cameos from other FE games come in as part of the Greil Mercenaries. A truly, awesome fic filled with [[Shout-Out|references]] that you must read.

* Still recommended, but YMMV. While the attention paid to the [[Loads and Loads of Characters]] is great, the protagonist skirts dangerously close to being a Stu at times, [[Parody Retcon]] notwithstanding: everyone's attracted to him, he can do magic nobody else can, he solves everyone's personal problems with his infinite wisdom etc... At times it seems to morph into a rant by the author about his (real) life, and the constant references get really annoying. It's down to the reader whether this detracts from the story or not.
