On occasion, when a game is good enough to gain critical Game of the Year Award mass, preferably at the E 3 game expo, it will come out with a series of DLCss, which, typically about a month after the release of the last one, will be bundled with the main game at a reduced price, typically to the chagrin of major fans of the games who had already bought the DLCss. It is often abbreviated as GOTY.

This trend probably started with Morrowind, which came out with the Tribunal and Blood Moon expansions, which were later coupled with the game.
