The first game is based on the Japanese story of Yoshitsune Minamoto and Benkei Musashibo in their struggle against the Taira clan. In this version, the Taira conquered japan with the help of some magic stones called "Amahagane" (litt. Heavenly Steel) which grant great powers to their wielders.
