Billie Joe has even stated that while it was written after a breakup, he was trying to put his best face forward on it. The only thing to hint at bitterness is the song's [[Non Indicative Title]].

* [[Sequel Displacement]]: The only pre-''Dookie'' song most people know is "[[Older Than They Think|Welcome to Paradise]]" (which ''is'' on that album, but was originally in the predecessor ''Kerplunk'').
