  • Anvilicious: A number of the stories, especially in the last season, have heavyhanded morals tacked on.
  • Expy: In the Thumbelina episode Mrs. Leaperman looks, sounds and acts strangely like Bev Bighead.
  • Ear Worm: Every episode has a song or two, and they will get stuck in your head.
  • Tear Jerker: Though the series as a whole is thourghly Disneyfied and season 3 is considered to be the worst of it, the ending of the episode "The Happy Prince" stays loyal to its matrial.
  • The Unfair Sex: The third season's constant use of gender-flipping male protagonists into female characters initially comes off as progressive. Until you realize most of the fairy tales the show previously adapated already had female protagonists to begin with...
