** It runs in the family. {{spoiler|Sakura's [alternate universe counterpart's from "Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle"] own husband later becomes this after they married, and their son still couldn't match Syaoran Sr's mature look after all his time in the story.}}

* Furukawa Akio, the father of Nagisa in ''[[Clannad]]'' is an exception to the model: Handsome though he may be, he is a coarse, loud, brash and hyperactive oaf of a child-trapped-in-a-man's-body, and a baker to boot. He is still very much ''openly (and publicly)'' in love with his [[Hot Mom]] wife, much to their daughter's embarrassment.

** {{spoiler|After Ushio's birth, he is now a Hot GRANDPA!}}

* Kim Kaphwan from ''[[Fatal Fury]]'' and ''[[The King of Fighters]]''. ''Specially'' in the ''Special'' games (where his two kids show up in his intros and win poses) and the Motion Picture (where his [[Hot Mom|also gorgeous wife]] appears too).

* ''Kirepapa'' provides a yaoi example -- Chisato is old enough to be the father of teenaged Riju, but has a very cute and youthful appearance. Riju's upperclassman chum Shunsuke sees him as definite DILF material.

* For the female tropers who like their guys older and more rugged, [[Colonel Badass]] Sergei Smirnov from ''[[Mobile Suit Gundam 00]]'' definitely qualifies. He ''was'' shown in his younger years in the second season's flashbacks, too.

** [[Gundam Wing|Relena Darlian's]] (adoptive) father, Premier Darlian, was ''very'' [[Tall, Dark and Handsome]]. Her biological father {{spoiler|King Peacecraft}} cut a very impressive figure, too, combining his [[Badass Beard]] with a nice military uniform and [[Badass Long Hair|quite a long hair.]] {{spoiler|Too bad he's dead.}}

** Quatre's father Zayeed "Master" Winner also was pretty good-looking. Basically, age up Quatre's [[Ho Yay|"best friend"]] Trowa by 25 years, add a [[Badass Moustache]], and here you go.

** Hangelb Evin, [[Mobile Suit Victory Gundam|Uso Evin's dad]] is also an example.

** [[Mobile Fighter G Gundam|Domon Kasshu]]'s father, Dr. Raizou Kasshu, is an older example. And apparently, an evil one. {{spoiler|He was framed, by the way, so he wasn't a bad guy in the end.}}

** A [[Zig Zagged Trope]] in [[Gundam AGE]]. {{spoiler|While second-season!Flit Asuno isn't ''ugly'' by any standards, the huge stress and hard work coming from his high responsabilities in the UE military as well as his [[Dark and Troubled Past]] make him look [[Younger Than They Look|quite older than his 39 years old]], contrasting with his [[Hot Mom]] wife and [[Victorious Childhood Friend]] (sorta) Emily, who seems to have ''barely'' aged in the [[Time Skip]]. However, some pictures taken few years before the second season took place (when his son and current protagonist Asemu was a little kid) show that he played the trope ''incredibly'' straight. And considering the third season of the show, at age 53 Flit has moved into [[Foxy Grandma|hot grandfather]] status.}}

** Also inverts the [[Overprotective Dad]], since he has no problem [[Tyke Bomb|winding her up and sending her out as a battle pawn]]. She, on the other hand, will kill any perceived threat to him, in spite of his immortality.

** In the 2002 Novel we see their grandchildren, so, by [[Foregone Conclusion]], {{spoiler|Claire Stanfield/Felix Walken}} becomes this with {{spoiler|Chane Laforet}} as his [[Hot Mom]] wife.

* Chikage from [[Antique Bakery]] certainly qualifies in the hotness department, but he's a dad only in the most literal sense. As a [[Cloudcuckoolander]], he was smart enough to know that he wouldn't be a great parent, but agreed to help someone conceive anyway (the woman chose him mainly for his looks). One of the other characters is surprised that he even knew how to make children.

* Haru's father Gale Glory from ''[[Rave Master]]''.

* Vincent Phantomhive from ''[[Black Butler]]''.

* From ''[[Nagasarete Airantou]]'', Ikuto's [[Disappeared Dad]], who looks a lot like his son. His wife is also a [[Hot Mom]]. It's clear to see where Ikuto {{spoiler|and Utau}} get their looks from.

* Rahzel's adopted father from [[Hatenkou Yuugi]] fits this trope so, so well. {{spoiler|Her biological father's not bad either.}}

* Arguably, Magnus aka Magneto from the [[X-Men]].

** [[Standardized Leader|Cyclops']] father [[Lovable Rogue|Corsair]] and [[Nineties Anti-Hero|son]] [[Cable]] (who is also a father, as well as a [[Papa Wolf|father figure]] in recent arcs) have significant followings of their own. Cyke himself is a bit more of a [[Base Breaker]], though out of the three men [[Tall, Dark and Handsome|fits the physical type best.]]

** [[Word of God]] is that he was always supposed to be Brendan Fraser, although it didn't come across so clearly to the reader until Inkspell.

* ''[[Twilight (novel)|Twilight]]'''s Dr. Carlisle Cullen. He's not a widower (he's been married to Esme for nearly a century), but he fits just about every other requirement of this trope.

* In ''[[The Dresden Files]]'' we have {{spoiler|Harry Dresden himself}}!

** Alan Jackson, Maria's father, on ''[[The Sarah Jane Adventures]]''. He cooks, cleans, works out, skateboards, and fends off his ex-wife. All the while managing to remain oblivious to all the oddness in his daughter's life since they moved the house opposite a former ''[[Doctor Who]]'' companion. {{spoiler|That is until Maria gets abducted by aliens who use [[Ret-Gone]], because he had a doohickey in his possession that made him immune he remembers her and goes [[Papa Wolf]] on said aliens.}} His {{spoiler|replacement character}} Haresh is pretty hot as well.

* The Chilean telenovela ''Papi Ricky'' ("Daddy Ricky") has one of these as its main character. He's raised his daughter alone for eight years, and apart from dealing with her strict great-grandmother (Grandma of the kid's [[Missing Mom]]), he's a [[Cool Teacher]] in the middle of a [[Love Triangle]] along with a [[Proper Lady]] co-worker and a mysterious [[Broken Bird]] who befriends his little girl {{spoiler|(and who actually ''is'' the [[Missing Mom]], only with [[Laser-Guided Amnesia]])}}.

* [[Supernatural|Daddy John Winchester]]. You might not want him as your father ([[Parents as People|because, well, he's got VERY SERIOUS issues]]) but ''damn'', the old guy is hot. Just look out for the [[Cartwright Curse]]: it runs in the family.

* Joseph Adama of ''[[Caprica]]'', especially in the 1920s-style suit and fedora he wears in New Cap City. However, when Joseph gets a severe case of [[Heroic BSOD]] and becomes functionally useless as a father, his brother [[Manly Gay|Sam]], who is taller, hotter and way more [[Gayngster|badass]], steps into the role with even more enthusiasm.

* Benjamin Sisko of ''[[Star Trek: Deep Space Nine]]''.

* Leroy Jethro Gibbs on ''[[NCIS]]''. His own daughter and wife are dead, but he's [[Team Dad]] to the NCIS [[True Companions|crew]]. [[Badass|Ziva]] calls him the closest thing she's had to a father figure, and [[Genki Girl|Abby]] plays the [[Daddy's Girl]] bit to the hilt. Gibbs has, in turn, transferred all [[Overprotective Dad]] tendencies to Abby, because [[Determinator|heaven]] [[Cold Sniper|help]] you if you mess with her.

These are men ranging from thirty-eight to fifty-two, all of them looking at least ten years younger. Significant parts of the fandom find them more attractive now than at their supposed prime.

* Chuck Greene from ''[[Dead Rising 2]]'' is a stellar example.
