* A rare ''video game'' example in ''[[Kingdom Hearts]]''. The [[Disney]] and ''[[Final Fantasy]]'' characters seem secondary to the original cast. Part of this is that Disney laid down so much [[Executive Meddling]] [[Teeth -Clenched Teamwork|behind the scenes in the first game]] that the production team decided that in general original characters were the only ones they could tell new or interesting stories with and not have to worry about Disney pitching a fit at characterization or portrayals of their properties.
