In film, he is best known for his 1970s [[Disaster Movie\|disaster movies]], which included ''[[The Poseidon Adventure]]'' (1972), ''[[The Towering Inferno]]'' (1974), and ''[[Film/The Swarm\|The Swarm]]'' (1978) earning him the nickname "The Master of Disaster".
