** A fair number of fans, and even people who aren't comic book readers, have conceded that Robinson's statement at San Diego Comic Con 2010 that he was inspired to cut off Roy Harper's arm as a tribute to Iraq war veterans by creating a superhero with a prosthetic that's not cybernetic was both in very bad taste and an utter dick move, regardless if this was honesty, a bold-faced lie, or something his editors told him to say. He contradicted this statement in the introduction of ''Cry's'' trade paperback, saying that the editors told him they wanted to put Roy in this direction. He also made absolutely no mention of his statement at San Diego.

* [[Straw Man Has a Point]]: Working to actively prevent crimes and super villains isn't a bad idea in itself. It's the way the heroes go about it that undermines their point.

* [[Villain Decay]]: [[Deconstructed]]. Prometheus, a supposed Justice League-level villain that originally challenged ''the entire League'', has been easily defeated in almost all subsequent appearances and despite retaining the same power and skills. This series explains that all those appearances were an impostor posing as Prometheus and follows the original's efforts to regain his reputation and exact revenge. This [[Retcon]] happened in a one shot before this mini came out.

* [[Villain Sue]]: A lot of Prometheus' time in this mini is over compensating for his previous [[Villain Decay]] by making him nigh-unbeatable {{spoiler|until Green Arrow kills him}}.
