Muelsfell: Rise of the Golems is a now-defunct browser-based multiplayer online game that's free to play. Each player plays a "magus" who can create golems (and cast spells now that the spell system is live). Said golems can be sent to battle nearby monsters for XP, money, and resources; magi can also join clans to team up with other magi in order to get better stuff. There's also an achievement system for some reason.

Its website remains up Play here, or check out the wiki hereDead link

* Allegedly Free Game: Muelsfell is free to play... in theory, as you can bribe your way to victory
** More like you have to. A lot of very basic features are Premium-only.
* Anti Poop Socking-Poopsocking: Magi have a certain, limited amount of "motivation" at one time which regenerates slowly. At higher levels it regenerates faster; however, about the most one can manage (outside the forums) is spending it all every 6 hours or so.
* Bribing Your Way to Victory: Premium mode makes the game immensely more playable, especially at the higher levels; furthermore, the best weapons around have been purchasable for Premium tickets for limited periods of time as "specials".
* Every Ten Thousand Points: Awards are given at 5, 10, and 15 achievements. In theory, future rewards will be handed out for 20 and 25.
Line 19 ⟶ 18:
* Item Crafting: Magi can create eyes, power sources, and armor for their golems, as well as certain unlockables.
* Level Grind: Some of the achievements include creating thousands of eyes, power sources, or pieces of armor.
* Meta Multiplayer: There's rankings and leaderboards based on score in addition to more traditional Pv PPvP
* Money for Nothing: By level 20 or so, you'll have more money then you can use if you put any effort into optimizing gameplay at all. Note that some players are currently into the 50s.
* Organ Drops: There's three sidequests that grant useful upgrades in exchange for "trophies".
* Randomly Drops: Every drop. Money is usually (but not always) set to 100%, but the more useful items tend to drop below 5% of the time.
* Shout -Out: Shout-outs include a monster named the Jabberwock, and one called the Gelatinous Cube.
* Unlockable Content: Gem golems and Tiger claws are granted for having a certain number of achievements.
* Video Game Achievements: An Achievement system was added after the game came out of beta.
