It is a [[Self-Plagiarism|self rip-off]]/[[R EmakeRemake]] of Cave's own ''Uo Poko'', which can be described as a [[X Meets Y|cross between]] ''[[Peggle]]'' and ''[[Puyo Puyo]]'', or alternatively, like [[Bubble Bobble|Puzzle Bobble]] except upside-down. Showing how big this franchise is getting, there is a free iPhone app called ''Mushihime-sama BUG TIMER'' which is simply a kitchen timer that is Mushihime-sama-themed.
