Not directly, since like most bosses it's immune, but its major ability, Demon Sign, lets it turn one of your allies against you at any given time, and ''they'' can be crippled with status effects. This is useful to keep them off your back without KO-ing them and letting the Devil use Demon Sign on someone else.
