''Octodad'' is a freeware game by a team of students from DePaul University. To quote the official site, ''Octodad'' is a third-person adventure game about destruction, deception and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about a day of his life. His existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks [[Some Dexterity Required|with his unwieldy boneless tentacles]] while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodian nature a secret from his human family.

* [[Cardboard Pal]]: Octodad's main objective is building a fake self so that he can buy himself some time to make an anniversary gift for his wife. {{spoiler|It ends up saving his life.}}

* [[I Thought It Meant]]: A lot of people didn't entirely realise why Octodad needed a banana for the disguise, until he assembles the decoy. {{spoiler|It's to mimic his moustache.}}
