* [[Cool Airship]] - Ava's home is an extremely comfortable airship... that is very heavily armed and armored, with an unusually high top speed and stabilization systems that are said to require the force of multiple direct lightning strikes to undermine.

* [[Famous Ancestor]] - The first to start the family business is recognized as the pioneer of clockwork-based wings. A later descendant is equally legendary for having supposedly transferred her full being into an automaton.

* - While wingless, Ava's people take advantage of their bone structure through artificially created wings.

* [[Gadget Watches]] - Ava's watch-glove can slow down or stop time for a targeted object or individual.

* [[Gadgeteer Genius]] / [[Mr. Fixit]] - Right there in the character sheet. Also, a penchant for building various highly effective devices quickly and out of relatively basic materials.

* [[Grappling Hook Pistol]] - Partially, and Justified. The aforementioned space-time warping is used to store usable amounts of cable in Ava's wrist-mounted grapple. Her light weight makes the tool more useful than it would be for a human.

* [[Humanoid Aliens]] - Cheros body structure is generally humanoid, but they are much more slender than humans and usually just barely under six feet tall. They have four fingers, unusual eyes, feathery antennae, and very small pointed noses that are just barely raised.

* [[Immortal Procreation Clause]] - Cheros live for about a thousand years on average, and have very low birth rates.

* [[Innocent Aliens]] - Not quite. While they are generally peaceful, they do possess very heavy weaponry and will retaliate if attacked. This holds true for Ava herself.

* [[Mini Mecha]] - Ava's greatest creation is a large, -capable, steam-powered combat suit she can pilot. While initially starting off as twice her size, several years of upgrades eventually transform it into a significantly larger craft about the size of a small house.

* [[Named After Their Planet]] - Averted. The Cheros' home planet is named Heliolum.

* [[Really Seven Hundred Years Old]] - Ava is just over 200, but looks and acts like someone around 20 years of age.

* [[Dark and Troubled Past]] - Ah yes, a vampire who had something bad happen to her before her death or in other terms, "rebirth". [[Sarcasm Mode|Never seen that before.]]

* [[Don't Look At Me]]- Aya is self conscious about one of the very few obvious flaws, a scar over her left eye. Though many people comment how they don't think it looks bad, she is convinced it is.

* [[I Am What I Am]]- She's the unholy scourge of the world. Is she bothered anymore? Not so much. The dead are dead and vampires have un-lives to live. Also See: [[Don't You Dare Pity Me]]- She don't want pity, she has accepted and moved on. Aya wants you to follow suit.

* [[Just Friends]]- Aya and Jake are close, close friends. but that doesn't stop the [[Shipper On Deck|Shippers]].

* [[Mama Bear]]- God help you if you ever touch her 'daughter' [[It Makes Sense in Context|Li'l Aya.]] Or any other kid for that matter.

* [[Face Heel Turn]] Not exactly evil, but she's definitely come far into the dark from her days as an Autobot.

== Evil Emperor Zurg ==

* [[Black Bug Room]]- I dare mind readers and telepaths to go in there. I even double dog dare you. [[Oh Crap|Shit just got real]].

* [[Bread and Circuses]]- Sure, Zurg may be an evil overlord of vast evil but he isn't a total idiot. He keeps his government stable by supplying things for his freak show staff such as: Cake Day, public transportation, vacation slips, and even lets them roam around without security collars. Isn't he such a swell evil overlord?

* [[Cessation of Existence]]- Zurg believes that when you die and eat the dirt, you become nothing. There is no afterlife--no Heaven, and no Hell. This is a real can of worms with white knights and religious bigots.

* [[The Chessmaster]]- Can be at times, but only during key plots.

* [[Gossipy Hens|Gossipy Hen]]- Zurg's got a big mouth, literally. He'll not think twice to spread something and cause some trouble if it suits his needs.

* [[The Greatest Story Never Told]]- There are some things that are best never said, aren't there?

* [[The Heretic]]: Being of xul origins, Zurg was regarded as an enemy to the rightful races. Ironically, even rightful xuls regarded him as an enemy, making Zurg a heretic to his entire specie. He was also callously given the title Heretic Grace during the incredibly unethical, but necessary, purge following his father's footsteps in the complete and utter annihilation of x'ng forces.

* [[Hidden Agenda Villain]]- Only Zurg knows why he does what he does, and it will stay that way.

* [[Regent for Life]]- Graces are Graces until death. This can be achieved through natural methods, accidents, or assassination. They cannot be simply voted out; this is where assassination comes into . Note that Graces are not God Emperors.

* [[Royals Who Actually Do Something]]- Being a Grace is not all about leisure and boredom. It often times requires the Grace to engage in multiple folds of government and daily life.They make legislature, enforce that legislature, uphold just about everything, and are even required, in cases of purges and mandatory involvement, to be at the forefront of such operations. While not warriors, Graces are the first, and foremost, of all global or galactic confrontations. Think the human equivalent of "Holy Roman Emperor", but with more checks and balances.

* [[Sins of Our Fathers]]- His father authorized the incredibly unethical, but necessary, purge of colony world, Atum (Ah-toom), that glassed both peaceful X'rghthu heretics and Galactic Alliance settlers. Because of this, some human survivors and descendants were butt hurt. One went as far as enacting his own "purge".

* [[Unequal Pairing]]- Anyone paired with Zurg will automatically be lower than him. No questions asked.

* [[Villainous Breakdown]]- Uh, Zurg is pretty scary when truly angered. Like a badger. With laser eyes. Yeah.

* [[World of No Grandparents]]- Or anyone, for that matter. Graces do not come into contact family members other than parents to ensure dedication to the demanding duties and responsibilities. Some Graces do not even know their family members.

 

* [[Our Werewolves Are Different]] - For one, she's a robotic werewolf, called a wirewolf.

* [[Peer Pressure Makes You Evil]] - Can be persuaded to do many things if asked by the right friends.

* [[False Friend]]: Jo was a solitary and closed person when she first came to Portal Breach for a reason. She once let someone get too close (read: [[Manipulative Bastard]]) and nearly paid the price for it.

* [[Girl Next Door]]- The plainest girl you'll ever meet.

* [[Good Parents]] / [[Deceased Parents Are the Best]]- Jo has few memories of her parents, but those she has are fond. They were caring and loving, and despite them dying (read: murdered) when she was six, Jo stuck to the few morals they taught her and became who she is today.

* [[I Can't Believe a Guy Like You Would Notice Me]]- Happened once, and she nearly paid for it. See [[False Friend]].

* [[Interspecies Romance]]- With everyne's favorite Evil Emperor.

* [[Loners Are Freaks]]- But Jo got along plenty fine all this time without a lot of friends.

* [[Machine Empathy]]- Jo's got it. Give her some time and she'll know what's wrong with a stuttering engine or an emotional robot. Not to be confused with Technopath.

* [[Black Eyes]] - He has a pair of these, since black is the most common color for his species. [[Eyes of Gold|Yellow]] eyes are rare and very [[What Beautiful Eyes|desirable.]]

* [[Break the Cutie]] - {{spoiler|Having Zurg snap on him and threaten to cut an [[Eye Scream|eye]] out, as well as knowing that if Xenon dies its all his fault, broke Kev a bit, but thankfully not too much.}}

* [[Break the Haughty|Break The Xenophobe]] - Kev was a very different person when he first came to PB. He abandoned his [[Absolute Xenophobe|distrust]] of everyone once he realized that being the [[Last of His Kind]] with such an attitude would make for a very lonely life.

* [[Butt Monkey]] - For whatever reason, Kev's a real danger magnet.

* [[Characterization Marches On]] - Used to be MUCH more of a wallflower, MUCH more [[Shrinking Violet|introverted]], MUCH more skittish and a LOT more distrusting. Also, when Kev first met Jo, they got into an argument, leading at an all out fight. Now, they are the best of friends!

* [[Common Sense]] - Kev isn't called the 'Voice of reason on PB' for nothing.

* [[Expressive Mask]] - The mask-like marking around his eyes and his actual eyes can be seen as this. After all, how [[No Mouth|else]] can you make him emote?

* [[Even the Guys Want Him]] - Blade has a somewhat obvious crush on Kev. And, of course, Kev/everyone.

* [[Former Teen Rebel]] - In a sense. Seen that one day when Kev got aged down to his teenage Kryptonistanian age, and proceeded to yell at Zurg and Arius, before running off on a motorcycle.

* [[Gender Bender]] - Has the ability to do so, if another male of his species were to come to PB. Doubles as a [[Shout Out]] to [[Jurassic Park]].

* [[Heterosexual Life Partners]] - Kev and Arius, Kev and Blade *[[Ho Yay|sorta]]*, Kev, Megamind, 5 and Harry, a rare four people version. Also [[Platonic Life Partners]] with Terra, Jana, Jo, and Aya.

* [[Named After Their Planet]] - Kryptonistanians, from Kryptonistan. Try saying THAT five times fast.

* [[Nice Guy]] - As stated above, Kev is one of the friendliest people on PB.

* [[No Mouth]] - And yet somehow, [[Running Gag|people forget it.]]

* [[No Sense of Personal Space]] - Just ask anyone who Kev considers a close friend. Hugs are VERY frequent.

* [[Even Evil Has Standards]]- Was rather vocal in protesting Jana's entirely bad idea of becoming a padawan, and doesn't like how Starscream is trying to use Livewire.

* [[Freeze Ray]]- The Ice Shrieker sniper rifle, given to Lawrence by Zurg. Doesn't freeze things in actual combat, but it does in the Sanctuary.

* [[Hypercompetent Sidekick]]- Lawrence is apparently the best minion Zurg's ever had.

* [[Hyperspace Arsenal]]- Stores his weapons and a few other things in one of these.

* [[Underestimating Badassery]]- Go ahead, Proxy, [[Bullying a Dragon|taunt the mild-mannered butler]]; I'm sure he [[Curb Stomp Battle|won't mind]].

* [[Undying Loyalty]]- To Zurg and Jo, though Proxy is slowly earning a place here too.

* [[With Due Respect]]- Has only used this on Zurg once so far.

* [[Living Emotional Crutch]]: It's reasonable to assume that Megamind would've wound up far worse a villain [[Affably Evil|than]] [[Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain|he]] [[Noble Demon|did]] without Minion's companionship.

* [[Minion With an F In Evil]]: He's so pleasant throughout the entire film, that it's highly likely that he went along with Megamind's evil plans less because of being evil and more because it seemed to make his master/friend happy.

* [[Mobile Suit Human|Mobile Suit Fish]]: He's a fish-like alien in a large mecha-suit.

* [[Black Sheep]]- Having never gotten along well with her family and constantly having her views ignored by said family is the reason for this.

* [[Dark and Troubled Past]]- From minor bad experiences in her childhood to traumatic incidences In early adult hood. Its all here for OV.

* [[Despair Event Horizon]]- Somewhat averted, OV still has moments where she feels completely hopeless. But with help from friends it is usually overcome.... For awhile, at least.

* [[Friend to All Children]]- Absolutely LOVES children, from the innocent adorable ones to the mischief causing ones that like to blow things up.

* [[Guilt Complex]]- Goes along with '[[Apologises a Lot]]'. She feels guilty about.... Lots of stuff. Stuff thats not even her fault sometimes.

* [[I Am Not My Father|I Am Not My Mother]]- She absolutely hates the woman and wants nothing more to be nothing like her and to be better then her.

* [[Interspecies Romance]]- With Swindle.

* [[Psycho for Hire]] - The reason he is the leader of the Space Pirates may just be because he loves being able to hurt others.

* [[Screaming Warrior]] - His high-decibel screech will cause you all kinds of hell, and he loves to screech in battle.

* [[Suicidal Overconfidence]] - What it says on the tin. Hell, Ridley wouldn't be afraid to take on even Zurg if he had to, despite the knowledge that Zurg is so much more powerful than he is.

 

* [[Lightning Bruiser]] - He can gallop at 80 mph, and sprint at 150-200 mph, I'd say he's pretty damn fast.

* [[Obviously Evil]]- Well, look at him. What do you think?

* [[Our Demons Are Different]] - Carmorph demon.

* [[Rage Against the Heavens]] - Before coming to PB Prix had other agendas, mostly they involved taking over the mortal world and destroying Automotive God.

* [[Do Androids]] Dream - Samara does. In sleep and day-dreaming.

* Fanservice - This was absolutely unintentional, to be honest. But even I admit that she's hot for an A.I.. Her human look ain't half bad either...

* Gamer Chick - She LOVES games. Don't knock it in front of her.

* [[Loss of Identity]] - Having suffered some head trauma and program malfunctions, she's getting some repairs done to get back to who she was before coming to Breach.

* [[Meaningful Name]] - Her nickname, Shift, refers to the fact that she diverts, or 'shifts', her attentions rather quickly. Her -real- name, Samara, has a few different meanings from Latin to Middle-Eastern.

* [[Nerds Are Sexy]] - Sam's the biggest nerd you could know, but she's cute when she's all intellectual.

* [[Broken Bird]]

* [[Cute Bruiser]] - MUCH stronger than she looks, and also packs energy weapons like her daughter Ryoko.

* [[Immortal Immaturity]] - Washu is certainly not above trolling people if the mood strikes her.

* [[The Omnipotent]] - This side won't be coming out too often in Portal Breach...

* [[Really 700 Years Old]] - She's either 20,000 or as old as time itself, and usually stays in a form that looks like she's 12.

* [[Truly Single Parent]] - Well yes, she did have one child naturally, but that's not the case with Ryoko.

 

* [[Odd Friendship]] / [[Intergenerational Friendship]]- When she first arrived, she was a sweet little girl. Then...she got attached to Drakken, likes Zurg and-stranger yet-lives with Barry, whom she considered a huge bully and hated.

* [[Only a Flesh Wound]]- Her attitude when fighting carmorph demons.

* [[Scars Are Forever]]- Yeeeeeeeeah, to put it in Barry's words-it looks like she got in a fight with a lawnmower...and lost.

* [[Seen It All]]- Come home to see a giant head on the counter? A mouthless alien? Animated armors? She doesn't want to know, don't tell her. It's damn near normal now.

* [[Smoking Is Cool]]- Zippo is a smoker. No, she won't quit. Stop bothering her about it.

* [[Strange Girl]]- Not quite the perky goth, but strange nonetheless. It's just easier not to question everything.
