Starting in 2010, The Role Play was originally called [[Exactly What It Says On the Tin|Virtual Battling]], as its purpose was simply a thread where the forum members could engage in fights. Since then, it somehow evolved from a random battle thread with no plot and light-hearted humor to an [[Cerebus Syndrome|epic story with]] numerous arcs and villains. To put this in perspective, the Role Play started off with characters fighting nerds and licensed characters from other media, to a clone destroying the world in an attempt to become a god, to elaborate space battles, and dramas including slavery and rape.

Jessica and The Master are the most egregious examples as Jessica was Villain's ex-girlfriend and The Master suddenly left a large plothole. These characters are barely ever mentioned again.
